F1 75 Season Launch: Grading the 2025 Liveries
Rating the 2025 F1 Liveries: The Good, the Bad, and the Forgettable
The 2025 F1 Season Launch event gave us our first look at this year’s cars, and while the racing is what really matters, we all know aesthetics count too. Seeing each team unveil their livery was a mix of excitement and predictability—some teams nailed it, others made some questionable choices, and a few barely changed at all.
The event itself had its moments. Jack Whitehall was genuinely funny as the host, but the random DJ set dragged on way too long. The musical guests were a mixed bag, and Fernando Alonso? He just oozes aura, as always.
Let’s break down the liveries, team by team, and hand out some grades.
Sauber
This year’s car has a cleaner look with more green up front, which gives it a sharper and more distinctive presence. It’s not the flashiest on the grid, but it’s an improvement.
Grade: B
Williams
A better, brighter blue makes this one of the most visually appealing Williams cars in years. It just looks right. Bonus points for having the best race suits on the grid.
Grade: B+
Racing Bulls
The biggest glow-up of the offseason. This car looks absolutely sick—a massive step up from last season’s design. Easily one of my favorites.
Grade: A+
Haas
More white this year, and it really pops. The color scheme is clean, simple, and way better than last season’s version.
Grade: A-
Alpine
A lot more pink this year, and I’m still not sold on the blue-and-pink combination. It just doesn’t mesh well for me.
Grade: C
Aston Martin
Not a huge change from last year, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The green is still one of the best colors on the grid.
Grade: B+
Mercedes
I’ll be blunt—I hate it. Always have. Always will.
Grade: D
Red Bull
Once again, not much of a change. It’s fine, but nothing special.
Grade: B-
Ferrari
A deeper red with hints of white makes for a stunning look. Ferrari rarely misses when it comes to aesthetics, and this year’s car is no exception.
Grade: A
McLaren
Same as last year, but that’s not a complaint. The papaya is still one of the best-looking color schemes on the grid.
Grade: A-
Some teams took big swings and delivered, while others played it safe or missed the mark. My personal favorites this year? VCARB for the biggest improvement, Ferrari for timeless excellence, and Haas for a surprisingly strong look.
